I created these screen shots to help some Library2Play 23 Things bloggers upload PhotoStory samples for Thing 21 about podcasts. I need to remember the steps myself and so now I can...and can also be reminded to be patient because it does take awhile for the file to upload!
SBISD folks are reminded that PhotoStory3 is already loaded on your new laptops.
this is a test load of a PhotoStory

Thank you for posting this information. Unfortunately this is what I have been doing, but I continuously get an error message that says, "Sorry, there was an error uploading your video. Please contact support and include the following information : Blog ID : XXXXXXXXX, Video ID : XXXXXXXXXX".
I tried to contact support, but when I clicked on support it simply showed me how to do it...the same information you have posted.
vwb - will you please look at my podcast (Thing 21 - Under Construction) and see if it is "right"?
Is there any way to get a player to appear on my blog instead of following the link to the hosting site?
This process seems rather inefficient in comparison to the rather seamless quality of the other applications we have used.
Am I missing something?
Thanks for your help!
Vaughn...
I eventually had to "Google" for the directions...God bless Google...When they "upload', they need to just sit back and let their computer do its thing...It takes a little time to upload.
On another note:...I just completed the "23rd Thing"...I think that I'm ready to graduate...When you have time, please check out my "blog" at http://hebrewsc13v2.blogspot.com/ and give me your blessing so that I can move to the "Summer Graduates List"...Thanks.
Thanks so much for the info. I finally got it to work. I wish, however, that your link was posted at the beginning of Thing 21. I had to find it in someone else's post. The "thing" I didn't get was that if your Photostory is "in progress" you need to hit "next" and continue to the end until it shows the screen you have on your post. Otherwise SAVE saves it to your video file as a .wp3 file instead of a .wmv file. Once I figured that out BLOGGER downloaded it slowly but it finally worked!
Thanks for the photostory screen shots! After glaring at the obvious for a few minutes! i fugred ut out!
i meant to say, I figured it out! WHEW! Spelling and proofreading are so tiresome!
this isent a practice comment
For anybody else who is having the same problem, where it processes and then gives you the blog ID # and the Video ID #, here is what worked for me:
I saved it as a wmv file instead of a wp3 file. I had to open up photo story to edit my file, and then select "save your story for playback on your computer". I thought I did this the first time, but apparently the type of file changed on me. So, once I did this, I was able to post my photo story to my blog! I hope this helps someone else out there!
Photo story screen shots is really awesome...Love it!!!
